PARENTS | FACEBOOK

Hello there! This post is for the parents out there of a teenager.

Social media has become one of the most effective ways to connect with everyone. As a student pastor I am always trying to find new and creative ways to connect with the student and services like FaceBook and Twitter have made that possible. However, FaceBook and Twitter can have its moments where it’s not so nice. Such as receiving friend requests from strangers, event invites, and posts that are cruel. So how can you as a parent of a teenager be more alert and more effective to keeping up with them online? Here is a great article called “What Christian Parents Need to Know About FaceBook.”

Part One

Hope that this helps and puts you in a better direction to keeping your teenager safe online.

#6 WHY I LOVE AMANDA

Back to back posts baby!!

#6 CARING

I know what you’re thinking right now, isn’t kind and caring the same thing? In my opinion no they’re not. Kind is when you’re just sweet and thoughtful. Caring to me is much more deeper than that. Caring is when you look for ways to go way out of your way to do something nice for someone. It’s when you look someone in the eyes and ask, Are you doing ok and you’re really wanting to know. It’s when you surprise them with something, a letter that you have to take time to read because it’s not some cheesy three sentences. Amanda cares for me. I know that through her actions and the way she talks to me. She also cares for her family, her niece, and friends. It’s amazing. Thank you Amanda for caring for me and loving me. 6 days my sweetie.
